Some of the most frequently used, possibly overused, words that I have heard over the past few years are “I’m so stressed.” Psychologist, Wayne Dyer, said that the truth is that there is no actual stress or anxiety in the world; it’s your thoughts that create these false beliefs. You can’t package stress, touch it, or see it. There are only people engaged in stressful thinking.
Yet as a physician, I learned that there is such a thing as stress and it comes in many different forms, physical, mental and metabolic. My guest today, physician and author, Dr. Mort Orman, points out that stress can also accelerate the aging process, causing physical and mental problems. As America’s leading stress elimination expert, Dr. Orman, will explain how you can eliminate stress, without managing it, so that you can live, love and work stress free.
Dr. Mort Orman is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. He is a graduate of Duke University (1969) and The University of Maryland Medical School (1973). He practiced Internal Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland for 23 years and then spent 15 years as a leading corporate health and wellness medical director for a large BlueCross/BlueShield health insurance plan. He is an award-winning health and wellness author, who has spent the past 40 years warning about the dangers of stress management.
Through his speaking, workshops, coaching programs, and authoring more than 20 books on eliminating stress, Dr. Orman helps people become happier, healthier, and more successful by acquiring new and deeper understandings about human stress.
