Human memory is a marvelous but fallacious instrument. The memories which lie within us are not carved in stone; not only do they tend to become erased as the years go by, but often they change, or even increase by incorporating extraneous features. (Italian scientist, writer and Holocaust survivor, Primo Levi)

Christine and Brian Phillips, with their daughter, Gwenda, are the developers of the Your Hidden Mind system – an online tool that utilises the science of Memory Reconsolidation to unlock and reorganize longstanding memories so that individuals can learn to ‘observe their own behaviors, find out what really drives them, and address and reduce  intensity issues they currently display.”‘

Together with scientists at the Auckland University of Technology, National Institute of stroke, and Applied Sciences, YHM has a pre-pilot research program, to refine a clinical research protocol.

This is a unique 28 day online program, that utilizes a series of randomly selected RAPS (Rhythmic Activating Prose) to be listened to or read aloud. There are two starting exercises on day one, a daily email with exercises that take no more than 15 to 20 mins per day.  At the end of the 28 days, there is  a time off to consolidate, and then participants answer a questionnaire, co-designed by YHM and  the university professors.

Because everyone is unique, the system  is designed to be personal and private for each participant. When you’re using the tool, you actually record, periodically, your own progress but the system does not record anything.

I am all for research so I decided to join the pilot study and through my personal journal,  document my process. You can join the pilot research program too. It’s online and therefore global.
